Peter Maier received his engineering degree from the Darmstadt University of Technology in Darmstadt, Germany. Maier began his professional career at Linde AG, Wiesbaden, Germany. In 1995, he left Linde as a plant Production Manager for forklifts to become Operations Director at Hako GmbH & Co.KG. After his role as Senior Consultant with Management Engineers, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, Maier returned to Linde AG in 1999. Here he was responsible for managing strategic logistics projects across all business units. By doing so he managed to significantly increase the company's logistics performance. Subsequently, he became Global Supply Chain Director as well as Director of the European spare parts operation. In 2007 Peter Maier decided to become a freelance logistics and service parts consultant.
